2017 Red Bull King of the Air | Highlights
First of all I want to thank everyone for all the kind messages on my social media. I can't believe all the support I'm getting from you guys. THANKS!
Who's the next King? I'm really looking forward to see who will be crowned King of the Air 2017, unfortunately I can't compete in this years event due to my ankle injury.
I'll be going into surgery tomorrow to get some screws in my ankle, the recovery time will be 3-4 months.
After a whole year of exploring the broad range freestyle kiteboarding has to offer, such as kicker waves and park riding, Christophe gets back on board to push air tricks.
The 2014 freestyle world champion pushed himself 3 weeks prior to filming this part in Brazil, showing why he's still on top of the game. Only now he’s playing by his own rules. Hear him out in this last full episode of the season.

After a tough battle against cancer that kept him off the water for a little over a year, Ruben Lenten is now back at full strength and ready to throw megaloop after megaloop all over the planet.
His comeback project, "CODE RED," is to "show the world that I'm back on my kiteboard and doing what I love ... storm chasing!"
Three countries, one powerful storm and tons of megaloops later, the "Master of Extreme" is officially back and well prepared to do battle for the sought-after title of King of the Air, the big-air kiteboarding competition taking place at the end of January in Cape Town, South Africa.
We caught up with Ruben to find out more about the CODE RED project.
The Turbine has proven to be one of the best light-wind kites ever made. Slingshot is excited to unleash this high-aspect, high-efficiency machine in a full range of sizes for 2017. All the same qualities that make the Turbine such a great light wind kite translate to an aggressive, high-power, high-flying, high-performance weapon as you go down in size and up in wind speed.
* 15, 17, 19 meter- The proven light wind kite of choice for riders of all abilities. The Turbine’s high-aspect, high-efficiency profile gets you out and riding when others watch from the shore hoping for the wind to pick up.
* 11, 13 meter- Perfect for intermediate to advanced riders who want a massive dose of spice on those moderate-wind days, or as a full light-wind kite for smaller riders. This range yields long, lofty airs, aggressive upwind angles and more power than any kite of the same size.
* 5, 7, 9 meter- Massive air, lofty hangtime and aggressive, high-power freeride performance. Described as “a Rally on steroids”, this size range is perfect for experienced riders who are ready to take their riding to the next level, and for foilers looking for competition-level performance out of a LEI kite.
